No visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is needed for ordinary short tourist or visit travel, but final permission to cross the border is made by Georgian immigration authorities. The Embassy of Georgia in the UAE states that the passport must be valid for at least 90 days. Since January 1, 2026, tourists entering Georgia must hold valid health and accident insurance for the whole stay, available in Georgian or English in physical or electronic form, with coverage of at least GEL 30,000. The separate UAE residence-permit rules apply to non-UAE citizens relying on UAE residence status, not to UAE citizens using their own passport.
