Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit EC?

No visa needed. UAE ordinary passport holders may enter Ecuador visa-free for tourism and stay up to 90 days within any 12-month period on a T-3 tourist stamp. As of 31 May 2026, holders of an ordinary United Arab Emirates passport do not need a visa to visit Ecuador for tourism or short business. On arrival they receive a T-3 tourist stamp permitting a stay of up to 90 days within any rolling 12-month period (the limit is cumulative, not per trip). The UAE is not among the ~45 nationalities that Ecuador requires to hold a Temporary Visitor Visa before travel. Ecuador is in South America and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers should carry a passport valid for at least 6 months with a blank page, and may be asked at the border for proof of onward/return travel, sufficient funds, and accommodation. Stays beyond 90 days require a visa or an extension requested from within Ecuador. No fee, eVisa, or pre-approval is required for the visa-free entry itself.
