UAE ordinary passport holders can travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. No visa or eVisa is required for tourism or short visits. Under a Memorandum of Understanding on mutual visa exemption signed by the UAE and Bosnia and Herzegovina on 6 November 2023, holders of valid ordinary UAE passports are exempt from visa requirements when entering, exiting, or transiting Bosnia and Herzegovina for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. The exemption covers tourism, business, and short-term family visits. Travelers simply present a valid passport at the border. Bosnia and Herzegovina is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to entries into Bosnia (note that days spent in Bosnia are counted separately from any Schengen allowance). Standard entry conditions apply: a passport issued within the past 10 years and valid at least three months beyond the intended stay/departure (six months beyond departure remains a conservative travel recommendation), proof of accommodation, return or onward travel evidence, sufficient funds, and travel/health insurance. Bosnian border officials may request these documents on arrival even though no visa is required. The 90-day limit is a maximum; overstaying or working without authorization is prohibited under the exemption.
