Andorran (AD) ordinary passport holders need a visa for Iran but can get it without visiting an embassy in person: apply for the Iran tourist eVisa online through the official Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal (evisa.mfa.ir). A 30-day visa-on-arrival (VOA) is also generally available at major airports for Andorran nationals (US/UK/Canada are excluded), but obtaining the eVisa in advance is the safer, recommended route. As of mid-2026, Andorra is not on Iran's visa-exemption list, so an Andorran ordinary passport holder requires a visa for tourism. The recommended channel is the electronic visa (eVisa) issued by Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs via its official portal evisa.mfa.ir. The applicant completes the online form, uploads a passport scan and photo, receives a visa grant notice by email after MFA approval, then either collects the visa through the chosen mission/route or presents a hard copy of the grant notice at the visa-on-arrival counter if using the VOA workflow. Iran is NOT in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Passport must be valid at least 6 months with blank pages, and Iran-valid travel medical insurance may be required at visa collection or entry. Travelers should understand the U.S. follow-on impact precisely: Andorra is a U.S. Visa Waiver Program country, but VWP restrictions can make travelers who have been present in Iran on or after 1 March 2011 ineligible to use ESTA/VWP absent a qualifying exception or waiver. Requesting a separate-sheet visa may avoid a visible passport stamp, but it does not remove the travel history for U.S. VWP purposes.
