🇿🇦South Africa🇰🇬KyrgyzstanZA-KG South Africa to Kyrgyzstan visa requirements
South African ordinary passport holders need an e-Visa to visit Kyrgyzstan for tourism. Apply online at the official portal evisa.e-gov.kg before you travel; a 30-day visa-on-arrival is also available at Manas Airport, but the e-Visa is the recommended, more reliable channel. Kyrgyzstan does not grant visa-free entry to South African ordinary passport holders. South Africa is on Kyrgyzstan's e-Visa eligible list, so the standard route for a short tourist stay is the single-entry tourist e-Visa issued through the official government portal, evisa.e-gov.kg. The e-Visa is available for 30 or 60 days of stay, costs roughly USD 41-52 depending on duration, and is normally processed within about 3-5 working days. No Letter of Invitation is required. Travelers must enter through a designated e-Visa entry point (Manas/Osh airports or listed land borders) and carry a printout of the approved visa. A visa-on-arrival for 30 days is also obtainable at Manas International Airport, but it is limited to that airport and carries more risk than securing the e-Visa in advance. Kyrgyzstan is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Passports should be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, and proof of onward travel may be requested.
