Vietnam to South Sudan visa requirements

A Vietnamese ordinary passport holder needs a visa for South Sudan. The recommended route is the official South Sudan eVisa, which is available to citizens of all countries and is applied for online before travel at evisa.gov.ss. Vietnam is not among South Sudan's visa-exempt nationalities (only Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda enjoy visa-free access, with visa-on-arrival limited to Burundi, Rwanda and diplomatic/official passport holders). Vietnamese ordinary passport holders must therefore obtain a visa before traveling. The simplest and officially endorsed option is the South Sudan eVisa, an electronic visa available to citizens of all countries and issued for single or multiple entry. Applicants register on the government portal (evisa.gov.ss), complete the form, upload a passport bio-page, photo, yellow fever certificate, accommodation booking and return ticket, and pay online. Standard government processing is roughly 7 working days, so applying at least 1-2 weeks ahead is prudent. A printed colour copy of the approved eVisa PDF must be presented on arrival. Note South Sudan also offers a transit visa (up to 72 hours) and embassy-issued visas; the eVisa is the most convenient channel for tourists. South Sudan is not in the Schengen area, so the 90/180 Schengen rule and ETIAS do not apply.
