Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) to Tanzania visa requirements

Taiwan (ROC) ordinary passport holders need a visa for Tanzania. The recommended route is the Ordinary (tourist) eVisa, applied online in advance via the official Tanzania Immigration portal. The single-entry tourist visa costs USD 50 and allows a stay of up to 90 days. A Taiwan ordinary passport holder cannot enter Tanzania visa-free. Taiwan is NOT on Tanzania's referral (prior-clearance) visa list, so Taiwanese travelers qualify for the standard Ordinary Visa. Tanzania operates an official Electronic Visa (eVisa) system at visa.immigration.go.tz, and applying online before departure is the safest, recommended method. The Ordinary tourist eVisa is single-entry, costs USD 50, permits a stay of up to 90 days, and is normally processed within about 10 business days. Visa-on-arrival also technically remains available at major entry points (e.g. Julius Nyerere and Kilimanjaro airports) for eligible nationals including Taiwanese, but since 2025 the government has pushed travelers toward pre-arrival eVisa, and obtaining it in advance avoids airport delays or refusal of boarding. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months with a blank page; proof of onward/return travel and accommodation may be requested. Tanzania is in East Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen/ETIAS rules do not apply.
