Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) to Chad visa requirements

Taiwan ordinary passport holders need an eVisa to visit Chad. Apply online at the official portal evisa.td before traveling; there is no visa-free entry and no visa on arrival. Chad requires Taiwan (Republic of China) ordinary passport holders to obtain a visa in advance for tourism. Taiwan is neither on Chad's visa-exempt list (which covers mainly African states plus a few partners such as Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and the UAE) nor eligible for visa on arrival. Chad launched an electronic visa (eVisa) system on 11 December 2024, and as of 11 May 2026 the online platform became the mandatory channel for nearly all visa categories (only diplomatic and courtesy visas remain with diplomatic missions). Taiwan nationals are eligible to apply for the Chad eVisa. The tourist eVisa is generally issued for a short stay (commonly up to 30 days, with longer options available), typically single entry, with processing of roughly 5 to 15 business days. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry, and all arrivals must register with local police within 72 hours. Chad is in Central Africa and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Always apply through the official evisa.td portal and avoid third-party sites that add markups. Fees, validity and stay length can change; reconfirm on the official portal before booking.
