Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) to Senegal visa requirements

Taiwan (TW) ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Senegal for tourism. Taiwan is not on Senegal's visa-exempt or visa-on-arrival lists, and Senegal's new reciprocity-based e-Visa scheme (rolled out from late 2025) requires non-African nationals to hold a visa before arrival. Apply in advance through a Senegalese diplomatic mission (there is no Senegalese embassy in Taiwan, so the nearest accredited mission, typically in Beijing or Tokyo, handles applications) or via the official e-Visa portal once it covers your nationality. A Taiwan ordinary passport holder cannot enter Senegal without a visa. Senegal maintains a visa-exemption list of roughly 60+ countries (all ECOWAS states, EU members, the UK, USA, Canada, Brazil, Japan and others) plus a separate visa-on-arrival category; Taiwan appears on neither, so it falls into the "visa required in advance" group. Senegal switched diplomatic recognition to the People's Republic of China in 2005 and has no embassy or consulate in Taiwan, meaning Taiwanese applicants must apply through a Senegalese mission accredited to the region (commonly the embassy in Beijing or Tokyo) or through a recognised visa service. In July-August 2025 Senegal adopted a National Economic and Social Recovery Plan introducing a reciprocity-based electronic visa: nationals of all non-African countries (and African countries that charge Senegalese citizens) must obtain and pay for an e-Visa before travel. This reinforces the visa requirement for Taiwan. Because the e-Visa rollout has been phased and Senegal has no mission in Taiwan, travellers should confirm the exact current channel (e-Visa portal vs. embassy application) directly with an official Senegalese source before booking. The standard short-stay tourist visa allows up to 90 days; passports must be valid at least 6 months beyond the date of arrival, and a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry. Senegal is in West Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
