🇹🇼Taiwan (Chinese Taipei)🇸🇩SudanTW-SD Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) to Sudan visa requirements
Taiwan (ROC) ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Sudan. There is no visa-free entry, no visa on arrival, and no working tourist eVisa channel; visas must be obtained in advance from a Sudanese embassy or consulate (often via a tour operator and a letter of invitation). Note: Sudan is in active civil war, with "Do Not Travel" advisories from virtually all governments, so tourist travel is effectively not viable as of 2026. A Taiwanese ordinary passport holder is visa-required for Sudan. Sudan does not extend visa-free or visa-on-arrival privileges to Taiwan nationals, and it has no functioning online tourist eVisa system. Entry visas are issued by Sudanese diplomatic missions abroad. Because Taiwan has no resident Sudanese embassy, applicants typically apply through the nearest Sudanese mission or arrange the visa through a licensed Sudanese tour operator, which supplies the required letter of invitation. Standard requirements include a passport valid at least six months, a completed application form, a photo, the invitation/sponsorship letter, proof of itinerary/accommodation, and a non-refundable fee (roughly USD 100-160 depending on the mission). After arrival, all foreigners must complete mandatory police/alien registration within three days, and separate travel permits are required to leave Khartoum or to visit Darfur. Critically, Sudan has been engulfed in armed conflict between the SAF and RSF since April 2023. The U.S. State Department, UK FCDO, and others issue "Do Not Travel" advisories, the U.S. embassy in Khartoum is closed, and consular services are unavailable. Even though the legal answer is "visa required," realistic tourist travel to Sudan is not possible under current security conditions.
