Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) to Solomon Islands visa requirements

Taiwan ordinary passport holders do not need a visa in advance. Taiwan is on the Solomon Islands free visitor permit on arrival list and receives a no-cost tourist permit for up to 3 months on landing. A Taiwan (TW) ordinary passport holder may travel to the Solomon Islands (SB) for tourism without obtaining a visa beforehand. Taiwan is listed among the nationalities granted a free Visitor Permit on arrival, valid for short stays of up to three (3) months within any twelve (12) month period. The permit is issued at the port of entry (Honiara Henderson International Airport) at no charge, provided the traveler holds a passport valid for at least six months, a return or onward ticket, and evidence of sufficient funds for the stay. Because the channel is free and requires no prior application or eVisa, the practical verdict for a short tourist visit is visa-free. Travelers who wish to stay longer than three months, or who fall outside the free-permit eligibility, must apply for a visitor visa in advance through the Solomon Islands Immigration online portal (fees levied in USD and converted to SBD). Note that the free permit covers tourism only; any paid work or business activity requires a separate work/business permit. Always re-confirm eligibility with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Labour and Immigration before departure, as airline check-in staff may request proof of onward travel and funds.
