🇹🇼TAIWAN🇵🇭PHILIPPINESTW-PH Do Taiwan passport holders need a visa to visit Philippines?
Taiwan ordinary passport holders can enter the Philippines visa-free for up to 14 days for tourism, under a policy effective 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. As of 30 May 2026, Taiwan ordinary passport holders enjoy visa-free entry to the Philippines for tourism and short visits, staying up to 14 days. This is a major recent change: the Philippines, through the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO), granted unilateral visa-free entry to Taiwanese tourists effective 1 July 2025, valid through 30 June 2026. This replaced the previous arrangement under which Taiwanese travelers had to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or sticker visa before arrival. No advance application or fee is required for the 14-day visa-free stay. At immigration, travelers must hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, a confirmed return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation, and proof of sufficient funds. The 14-day visa-free stay is non-extendable and non-convertible to other visa categories; travelers must leave before it expires. Anyone planning to stay longer than 14 days, or to study, work, or undertake other restricted activities, must obtain the appropriate sticker visa from MECO before traveling. Because this is a trial/temporary policy with a fixed end date (30 June 2026), travelers should re-verify with MECO before booking, as it may be extended, modified, or allowed to lapse.
