Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) to Lithuania visa requirements

No visa is needed. Taiwan ordinary passport holders (whose passport contains the national ID number) may visit Lithuania visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Lithuania is in the Schengen area. Lithuania is a member of the Schengen Area, and Taiwanese ordinary passport holders have enjoyed visa-free access to the EU/Schengen for short stays since 11 January 2011. For tourism or short visits you can enter Lithuania without a visa for up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period, provided your ordinary Taiwan passport contains your national identity card number, was issued within the previous 10 years, and is valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen area. The 90-day allowance is shared across the entire Schengen zone, not per country. As of 1 June 2026, ETIAS (the European Travel Information and Authorisation System) is not yet in operation; it is expected to launch in Q4 2026 with a transitional grace period, so no online travel authorisation is required right now. The EU Entry/Exit System (EES) is being rolled out and registers biometric data automatically at the border but does not require any pre-application. Always carry proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds, as border officers may ask. National long-stay visas remain required for work or stays exceeding 90 days.
