🇹🇼Taiwan (Chinese Taipei)🇦🇪United Arab EmiratesTW-AE Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) to United Arab Emirates visa requirements
Taiwan ordinary passport holders must obtain a pre-arranged UAE eVisa before traveling to the UAE for tourism. Taiwan is not listed in the UAE visa-free or visa-on-arrival categories; apply online before departure through VFS Global, an airline channel such as Emirates, or a UAE sponsor. As of 29 June 2026, a Taiwan (TW) ordinary passport holder cannot enter the UAE visa-free and is not eligible for the ordinary visa-on-arrival path. The required pathway is a pre-arranged electronic visa (eVisa) or entry permit obtained before travel. The most common option for tourists is the 30-day single-entry tourist visa, with 60-day and multiple-entry options also available. Applications are processed online through VFS Global, via Emirates for those flying Emirates, or through a UAE-based sponsor/airline channel; VFS lists standard processing at about 5-6 working days, with express processing around 48 hours where available. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of arrival, and applicants generally need to show a confirmed hotel booking, return/onward ticket, and may need to meet an eligibility criterion (qualifying travel history, financial proof, or UAE sponsorship). Taiwan BOCA warns that UAE e-visa applications should use passport nationality TAIWAN/TWN, not CHINA, and that incorrect nationality data must be cancelled and reissued before travel. The 30-day tourist visa costs roughly NT$3,210 (around USD 100) plus any service fee. The visa must normally be used within about 58 days of issue.
