Turkish ordinary passport holders do not need a visa to enter Zambia for tourism. Since 1 January 2025 (Statutory Instrument No. 78 of 2024), Turkey is visa-exempt and may stay up to 90 days as a tourist. As of 1 January 2025, holders of all types of Turkish passports are exempt from visa requirements when entering Zambia. The exemption was introduced by the Government of the Republic of Zambia under Statutory Instrument No. 78 of 2024 to strengthen tourism, trade and economic ties between the two countries. Turkish nationals travelling for tourism or as ordinary visitors may stay up to 90 days, renewable on a monthly basis, while business visitors are limited to 30 days within any 12-month period. No visa fee applies for the visa-free entry; travellers simply present a passport valid for at least six months with at least three blank pages at the port of entry. Zambia still operates an eVisa system and visa-on-arrival for nationalities that require a visa, but Turkish ordinary passport holders do not need to use these channels for a short tourist visit. This is a unilateral arrangement: Zambian citizens still require a visa to enter Turkey. Travellers combining Zambia with Zimbabwe (e.g. Victoria Falls) may optionally still purchase the KAZA UNIVISA, but it is not required for visa-exempt Turkish nationals entering Zambia alone.
