Türkiye to Tanzania visa requirements

Turkish ordinary passport holders need a visa for Tanzania. The recommended route is to apply online for a single-entry Ordinary (tourist) eVisa before travel, which costs USD 50 and allows a stay of up to 90 days. Turkey is not on Tanzania's visa-exemption list for ordinary passports (only diplomatic/service/official passport holders are visa-exempt). Tanzania is in East Africa, not the Schengen area, so ETIAS and the Schengen 90/180 rule do not apply. According to Tanzania's official eVisa portal (visa.immigration.go.tz) and the Immigration Department, tourists apply for an Ordinary Visa costing USD 50 for single entry, valid for up to 90 days. The official guidelines list two channels: an online eVisa applied for before travel, and a visa on arrival at official entry points. The eVisa is strongly recommended because it is processed in advance (around 10 days), avoids airport queues and the risk of being turned away, and several travel advisories report visa-on-arrival was being phased out from early 2025. Turkish travelers should therefore apply for the eVisa ahead of their trip. US nationals are the exception, required to buy a USD 100 multiple-entry visa, but this does not affect Turkish travelers, who pay USD 50 for the single-entry tourist visa. A passport valid for at least six months beyond entry, a return ticket, accommodation details and a recent photo are required.
