Türkiye to Sudan visa requirements
A Turkish ordinary passport holder needs a visa to enter Sudan. While some references list a theoretical 1-month visa-on-arrival for travelers arriving directly from Turkey, this channel is not reliable under current conditions (active civil war since April 2023, Khartoum airport closed). Obtain a tourist/entry visa in advance from a Sudanese embassy or consulate. Note: most governments advise against all travel to Sudan. Turkey is not part of any visa-waiver arrangement that gives Turkish citizens reliable visa-free entry to Sudan. Sudan operates a traditional embassy/consular visa system; an electronic application route exists in principle but service is irregular. Although Wikipedia and some aggregators note a 1-month visa-on-arrival "only if arriving directly from Turkey," this is not dependable: Sudan has been in armed conflict between the SAF and RSF since April 2023, Khartoum International Airport is closed, and only limited international flights operate via Port Sudan, which is itself subject to attack. Embassy visa processing has also become irregular due to mission closures. Given conflicting sources and the security situation, the conservative and accurate guidance is that a visa must be secured before travel. A valid passport with at least six months validity is required, foreigners must register with police within three days of arrival, and internal travel beyond ~25 km of Khartoum requires permits. Travelers should treat Sudan as a do-not-travel destination and confirm requirements directly with the Sudanese mission before any journey.
