Türkiye to Rwanda visa requirements

Turkish ordinary passport holders need a visa for Rwanda, but it is easy to get on arrival. A 30-day single-entry tourist visa is issued at Kigali International Airport and all land borders without any prior application, for USD 50. You may also pre-apply online via the Irembo eVisa portal if you prefer to arrive with the visa already approved. Since 1 January 2018 Rwanda grants citizens of all countries a visa on arrival without prior application. However, Turkey is not part of any of Rwanda's fee-waived visa-free categories (African Union / Commonwealth / La Francophonie members, the East African Community, or the specific 90-day list of countries). Therefore a Turkish ordinary passport holder must obtain a paid entry visa. The standard tourist visa (single entry) costs USD 50 and is valid for a 30-day stay; a multiple-entry visa costs USD 70. The visa can be obtained in three ways: (1) on arrival at Kigali International Airport or any land border, (2) online in advance through the Government of Rwanda's Irembo portal (the official eVisa), or (3) at the Rwandan Embassy in Ankara. For most short tourist trips the visa on arrival is the simplest route, though pre-applying online gives certainty and faster airport clearance. Turkey's visa-waiver agreement with Rwanda applies only to diplomatic and service/official passports (90 days), not to ordinary passports. The passport must be valid for at least six months on the date of entry. Travellers can also consider the East African Tourist Visa (USD 100, 90 days) if combining Rwanda with Kenya and Uganda.
