Türkiye to Papua New Guinea visa requirements

Turkish ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Papua New Guinea for tourism, but it can be obtained online as an eVisa (Tourist - Own Itinerary) before travel. Turkey is NOT on the visa-on-arrival or Easy Visitor Permit lists, so apply via the official ICA eVisa portal in advance. As of 2026, a Turkey (TR) ordinary passport holder cannot enter Papua New Guinea visa-free. PNG operates an online eVisa system (run by the Immigration and Citizenship Authority, ICA) that is open to citizens of all countries, including Turkey. Turkish nationals are not eligible for visa-on-arrival (limited to a defined list such as Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore, UK) nor for the more generous Easy Visitor Permit (limited to EU members and certain named countries). The applicable route is the standard Tourist Visa - Own Itinerary eVisa, lodged through the official portal (evisa.ica.gov.pg) before departure. It carries a USD 50 online lodgement fee (paid in the Kina equivalent), allows a stay of up to 60 days, is single entry, and the visa is valid for 6 months from issue. Standard processing is up to about 10 working days, though many straightforward applications are approved automatically and quickly. Passports must be valid at least 6 months. Papua New Guinea is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Because Turkey is conspicuously absent from the fast-track lists, conservative travelers should apply well ahead of travel and carry confirmation of the approved eVisa, onward tickets, accommodation, and proof of funds.
