Do Türkiye passport holders need a visa to visit NO?
Turkish ordinary passport holders need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa before traveling to Norway for tourism. Norway is part of the Schengen Area, and Türkiye is not on the Schengen visa-exempt list. As a result, holders of an ordinary (regular) Turkish passport must obtain a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa before traveling to Norway for tourism or a short visit. The visa allows stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area. Applications are submitted online through the UDI portal and then in person at a VFS Global center in Türkiye, where biometrics are collected. The standard visa fee is EUR 90, plus a VFS service charge, with processing normally taking up to 15 calendar days (longer in peak season). Note: ETIAS does NOT apply to Turkish nationals, because ETIAS is only for visa-exempt travelers; Turkish citizens continue on the standard Schengen visa pathway. (Turkish diplomatic, service and special passport holders are visa-exempt, but ordinary passports are not.)
