Türkiye to Nicaragua visa requirements

Turkish ordinary passport holders can travel to Nicaragua visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days. No visa is needed in advance; you simply buy a US$10 tourist card on arrival. As of June 2026, holders of an ordinary Turkish passport do NOT need a visa for a short tourist visit to Nicaragua. Turkey remains on Nicaragua's visa-exempt list (Category A), even after the sweeping Decree 002-2026 reform that took effect on 16 February 2026. That decree ended visa exemptions and visa-on-arrival for many nationalities and expanded the "consulted visa" requirement, but Turkey was not affected and keeps full visa-free access. On arrival, every visitor (including the visa-exempt) pays a one-time US$10 tourist card fee, payable in cash US dollars. The permitted stay is up to 90 days, which can be extended for a further 30 days at a Nicaraguan immigration office for a fee. Nicaragua is part of the Central America-4 (CA-4) free-movement zone with Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras; the 90-day allowance is shared across all four countries, so time spent in any CA-4 country counts toward the same 90-day total. Entry conditions: passport valid for at least 6 months, an onward or return ticket, and proof of sufficient funds. Nicaragua is in Central America, not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
