Türkiye to Nigeria visa requirements

Turkish ordinary passport holders need a visa for Nigeria. Since 1 May 2025, Nigeria runs a mandatory e-Visa system (visa-on-arrival was abolished), so Turkish travellers apply online for a Tourism Visa (F5A) before departure. A Turkey (TR) ordinary passport holder traveling to Nigeria (NG) for tourism is NOT visa-exempt. Turkey is neither an ECOWAS member state nor a party to a visa-abolition agreement with Nigeria, so a visa is required. On 1 May 2025, Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Interior and the Nigeria Immigration Service launched a fully digital e-Visa system under the New Visa Policy 2025, which replaced the previous visa-on-arrival arrangement. Turkish nationals must therefore apply online through the official portal (evisa.immigration.gov.ng) for the Tourism Visa, class F5A, before travelling. The F5A is a single-entry visa valid for 90 days from issuance, permitting a stay of up to 30 days; it cannot be extended and does not permit employment. Applicants upload a passport (6+ months validity), photo, return ticket, hotel reservation or host address, and a recent bank statement, pay the fees online, and typically receive an emailed approval within about 48 hours (allow up to 5 business days in peak periods). On arrival, travellers also complete Nigeria's digital Landing/Exit Card. Nigeria is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply.
