Türkiye to New Caledonia visa requirements

Turkish (TR) ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit New Caledonia for tourism. New Caledonia is a French overseas collectivity, NOT part of the Schengen Area, so a regular Schengen visa is not valid there. Turkish nationals must apply for a special French short-stay visa valid for New Caledonia in advance, through a French consulate / VFS Global in Turkey. New Caledonia (Nouvelle-Caledonie) is a sui generis French overseas collectivity in the South Pacific. It is part of the French Republic but lies OUTSIDE the Schengen Area, so its entry rules differ from mainland France. Many nationalities enjoy a 90-days-in-180 visa exemption, but Turkey is not on the exemption list: the EU has no visa-waiver agreement with Turkey, and France extends the same requirement to its overseas territories. Therefore a Turkish ordinary-passport holder must obtain a short-stay visa before travelling. Crucially, a standard Schengen visa does NOT permit entry to New Caledonia; a separate "national" short-stay visa specifically valid for the overseas territory is required (if you also visit mainland/Schengen France you would need two visas). Applications are lodged at the French consular section in Turkey via the external provider VFS Global. The short-stay visa allows tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period and follows the standard French short-stay fee (up to EUR 99). As of 2026-05-30 there is no eVisa, visa-on-arrival, or ETIAS channel for New Caledonia for Turkish nationals.
