Türkiye to North Macedonia visa requirements

Turkish ordinary passport holders can visit North Macedonia visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. No visa or eVisa is needed for short stays. As of 2026, holders of an ordinary (maroon) Turkish passport do NOT need a visa to enter North Macedonia for tourism or short visits. North Macedonia grants Turkish citizens visa-free entry for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period, confirmed by both the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and North Macedonia's visa policy. North Macedonia is an EU candidate country but is NOT a member of the EU or the Schengen Area, so the EU/Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply here; North Macedonia simply operates its own similar 90/180 short-stay scheme. Travelers can enter at any point of entry (Skopje and Ohrid airports, land borders) and present their passport on arrival. There is no visa fee, no application, and no advance approval required for a short tourist visit. A separate residence/work or study permit is required for stays that exceed 90 days or for non-tourism purposes. Travelers should still carry standard supporting documents such as proof of accommodation, return travel, and sufficient funds, and ensure the passport is valid well beyond the planned stay. Note that border authorities also limit each single entry to a maximum of 90 days, counted within the rolling 180-day window.
