Türkiye to Luxembourg visa requirements

Yes, you need a visa. Turkish ordinary passport holders must obtain a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa before traveling to Luxembourg for tourism. Turkey is NOT on the EU/Schengen visa-exempt list, so ETIAS does not apply to you - you still need a full Schengen visa, which must be applied for in advance. Luxembourg is a member of the Schengen Area, and Turkish citizens are among the few nationalities still required to hold a Schengen visa to enter for short stays. As of mid-2025, the EU applies a more favourable "cascade" regime to bona fide Turkish travellers resident in Turkey, granting progressively longer multiple-entry visas (up to 1, 3 and 5 years) to those with an established, lawful travel history. The standard short-stay visa allows tourism within the Schengen Area under the 90/180-day rule. Importantly, ETIAS does NOT replace this requirement: ETIAS is only for visa-exempt nationalities, so Turkish nationals continue to need a traditional Schengen visa even after ETIAS launches in late 2026. Applications for Luxembourg are submitted through VFS Global centres in Turkey (Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Gaziantep, Antalya), at least 15 calendar days and no more than 6 months before travel.
