Türkiye to Lithuania visa requirements

Turkish ordinary passport holders need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa to visit Lithuania for tourism. Lithuania is in the Schengen Area, and Turkey is on the EU's visa-required list. Turks are NOT eligible for ETIAS (that is only for visa-exempt nationals) and must apply for a full Schengen visa in advance, usually via VFS Global in Turkey. Lithuania is a full member of the Schengen Area, and Turkey remains on Annex I (visa-required) of the EU visa policy as of mid-2026. A Turkish ordinary passport holder must therefore obtain a Schengen Type C short-stay visa before travelling for tourism. Applications are lodged at the Lithuanian consular service or, in practice, through VFS Global in Istanbul/Ankara. The standard adult visa fee is EUR 90 plus a VFS service charge of about EUR 17.90; processing is officially up to 15 calendar days (extendable to 45), though Lithuania is frequently among the faster Schengen processors. The visa governs short stays under the Schengen 90/180-day rule (maximum 90 days in any rolling 180-day period across the whole Schengen Area, not just Lithuania). ETIAS does NOT apply to Turkish nationals; because Turkey is visa-required, Turks continue to need a full visa rather than the cheaper ETIAS authorisation. A positive recent change: on 15 July 2025 the EU adopted the so-called cascade rules for Turkish citizens, allowing bona fide frequent travellers to receive longer-validity multi-entry visas (1-year, then up to 3- and 5-year) after lawfully using two visas within three years. The Entry/Exit System (EES) and ETIAS rollout continues across the EU in 2026 but does not change the visa requirement for Turks.
