Türkiye to Laos visa requirements

Turkish ordinary passport holders need a visa for Laos and should apply for the official Lao eVisa online before travel. Turkey is specifically excluded from Laos visa-on-arrival, so the eVisa (or an embassy visa) is the correct route. The eVisa grants a 30-day single-entry stay and is usually approved within about 3 working days. A Turkey (TR) ordinary passport holder traveling to Laos (LA) for tourism cannot enter visa-free and is explicitly NOT eligible for Laos visa-on-arrival - Turkey appears on the Lao immigration list of nationalities barred from VOA who must obtain a visa in advance. The practical and recommended option is the official Lao eVisa (laoevisa.gov.la), which is open to all nationalities including Turkey for ordinary passports. The eVisa is a single-entry tourist visa allowing a stay of up to 30 days, valid for entry within 60 days of the approval letter being issued, and is normally processed within about 3 working days. The government fee is approximately USD 50 (around USD 51-52 including the standard online/bank service charge); third-party agencies charge considerably more. The eVisa can only be used at nine designated entry points (Wattay/Vientiane, Luang Prabang and Pakse international airports, the Lao-Thai Friendship Bridges I, II and IV, Boten checkpoint and railway station, and Khamsavath railway station). Travelers entering at other land borders, or wanting a longer 60-day stay, should instead apply for a tourist visa at a Lao embassy or consulate in advance. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay with at least one blank page. Laos is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Verdict: eVisa.
