Do Türkiye passport holders need a visa to visit India?
Türkiye ordinary passport holders need a visa for India. Turkey is NOT on India's e-Visa eligible list, so you must apply for a regular (sticker) tourist visa at the Consulate General of India in Istanbul (or Embassy in Ankara) before travel. A Turkish ordinary passport holder cannot enter India visa-free and cannot use the convenient India e-Visa, because Turkey does not appear on India's official country-wise e-Tourist Visa list. Instead, Turkish nationals must obtain a regular paper/sticker tourist visa in advance from an Indian diplomatic mission in Türkiye (Consulate General of India in Istanbul, jurisdiction over most of the country, or the Embassy of India in Ankara). The application is started online at indianvisaonline.gov.in (the regular visa form, not the e-Visa form), followed by document submission/biometrics at the mission or its outsourced visa centre. The standard tourist visa fee for applicants in Türkiye is about USD 103 (plus any service-provider charges), and processing typically takes around 5-10 working days. Tourist visas are commonly issued with multiple-entry validity; the duration of each stay and visa validity are decided by the consulate. Passports must be valid at least six months beyond intended departure and have at least two blank pages. Note that applicants must be legal residents of Türkiye - non-residents are referred to the mission in their country of residence.
