Türkiye to Ghana visa requirements

Yes, a visa is required. Turkish ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Ghana for tourism and should apply online through Ghana's official eVisa portal, launched on 25 May 2026, before travelling. Ghana is not in the Schengen area. Turkish ordinary (regular) passport holders are NOT visa-exempt for Ghana and must obtain a visa before arrival. The most convenient route is the Ghana Immigration Service eVisa, an electronic visa launched on 25 May 2026 and applied for entirely online at evisa.immigration.gov.gh. The May 2026 free-visa-for-Africans reform applies only to African Union nationals, so Turkey (a non-African country) continues to pay standard visa fees and follow the standard application and security-screening process. As an alternative to the eVisa, Turkish travellers can apply for a paper visa through the Ghana Embassy in Ankara or the Consulate in Istanbul. A standard tourist visa is typically valid for entry within 3 months of issue and allows a stay of up to 30-60 days; single- and multiple-entry options are available. Ghana does not offer a general visa-on-arrival to Turkish tourists, and there is no visa-free or visa-waiver agreement covering Turkish ordinary passports (only Turkish diplomatic passport holders are exempt).
