Türkiye to Eritrea visa requirements

Turkish ordinary passport holders need a visa before traveling to Eritrea. Eritrea has no eVisa and no visa-on-arrival for Turkish citizens, so you must apply in advance at an Eritrean diplomatic mission. A Turkey (TR) ordinary passport holder traveling to Eritrea (ER) for tourism requires a visa obtained in advance. Eritrea's visa policy exempts only a small group of nationalities (e.g., Kenya and Uganda) and offers visa-on-arrival to a few others (Ethiopia, Sudan); Turkey is not on either list. There is no electronic visa (eVisa) or ETA for Eritrea, and no Schengen relationship applies. Turkish travelers must complete the B62.3 visa application form (typically submitted online through the relevant Eritrean mission's system), pay the visa fee plus service charges, and mail in their original passport. There is no Eritrean embassy in Turkey, so applications are generally handled through the nearest Eritrean diplomatic mission (such as those serving the region) or via an authorized visa service. The tourist visa is valid for three months from the date of issue (you must arrive within that window) and generally permits a one-month stay, extendable at the Immigration office in Asmara. Processing takes a minimum of 15 business days, so apply well ahead of travel. A passport valid at least six months beyond the trip, proof of sufficient funds, and a passport photo are required; yellow fever vaccination may be requested on entry depending on prior travel. Eritrea also enforces travel-permit rules for movement outside Asmara once in-country.
