🇹🇷Türkiye🇨🇩Congo (Dem. Rep.)TR-CD Türkiye to Congo (Dem. Rep.) visa requirements
Turkish ordinary passport holders need a visa for the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The fastest route for a short tourist visit is the official DRC eVisa (evisa.gouv.cd), launched in 2025. A separate $90 USD "VAP" fee is mandatory on arrival, and a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required. As of 2026, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) requires a visa from holders of an ordinary Turkish passport for tourism or short visits; only Turkish diplomatic passport holders are visa-exempt. The DRC is in Central Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so no Schengen 90/180 rule or ETIAS applies. Since 2025 the DRC operates an official electronic visa platform at evisa.gouv.cd, and Turkey is among the eligible nationalities, making the eVisa the standard route for a short tourist stay. The government eVisa fee is roughly USD 100 for a one-month single-entry tourist visa (longer/multiple-entry options cost more, up to about USD 450 for six-month multiple entry). Crucially, every eVisa traveller must also pay a mandatory USD 90 "Visa a l'Arrivee a Payer" (VAP) fee in cash at the airport, seaport, or land border on arrival; this is separate from the online fee. Applicants must hold a passport valid at least six months with blank pages, a valid International Certificate of Vaccination (yellow fever is mandatory and strictly enforced), proof of onward travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds. Travellers who prefer or are required to use a paper visa can apply through the DRC Embassy in Ankara. Conditions and fees can change, so always confirm on evisa.gouv.cd before booking travel.
