Do Türkiye passport holders need a visa to visit Brazil?
Turkish ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist trips to Brazil. They can enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days. Türkiye (ordinary passport) and Brazil have had a mutual visa-exemption agreement in force since 1 July 2004. Turkish ordinary passport holders may enter Brazil without a visa for tourism and short visits and stay for up to 90 days, extendable once at the Federal Police up to a maximum of 180 days within any 12-month period. The major 2026 Brazilian e-Visa reintroduction (effective from January 2026) is a reciprocity measure that targets only nationalities whose countries require visas of Brazilians — notably the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Mexico and France. Turkey is NOT on that e-Visa list and remains fully visa-exempt. Travelers should carry a passport valid for at least six months, proof of onward/return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds and accommodation. Note that Brazil has introduced a tourist tax and VAT changes on tourism services in 2026 that may modestly raise on-the-ground costs, but these are not entry-visa fees.
