Thailand to Venezuela visa requirements

Thai ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Venezuela. Thailand is not on Venezuela's visa-waiver list, so there is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival entry. Since 2025, Venezuela operates an electronic visa (eVisa) system through its official Cancilleria Digital portal, which is the recommended route for Thai tourists. A Thailand passport holder cannot travel to Venezuela visa-free. Venezuela's visa-waiver list (covering roughly 70 nationalities including most of the EU, Japan, Australia, Brazil and Mexico) does not include Thailand, so Thai citizens must obtain a visa before travel. There is no visa-on-arrival channel. In 2025 Venezuela launched an electronic visa (eVisa) system administered by the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs (MPPRE) through its Cancilleria Digital portal (cancilleria-digital, mppre.gob.ve), which now covers tourist (TR-V) and business (TR-N) travelers of all nationalities. The tourist eVisa is typically issued as a multiple-entry visa valid for up to one year, permitting stays of up to 90 days per entry. The official eVisa fee was raised to USD 180 in 2025 (from USD 60), and processing takes roughly 15 days. There is no Venezuelan embassy in Thailand; the nearest missions are in Kuala Lumpur and Manila, so the online eVisa is the practical option. Passports must be valid at least six months on entry, and proof of onward travel and sufficient funds may be requested.
