Thailand to Uganda visa requirements

Thai ordinary passport holders need a visa for Uganda. There is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel for tourists; you must apply online in advance for a Uganda eVisa (electronic visa) through the official immigration portal before you travel. A Thailand (TH) ordinary passport holder traveling to Uganda for tourism must obtain a visa before arrival. Uganda discontinued routine visa-on-arrival for visa-prone nationals and now requires all such travelers to apply online via the official Electronic Visa/Permit Application System (visas.immigration.go.ug). The standard product for a short tourist trip is the Single Entry Tourist Visa, which costs USD 50 (plus a small bank/processing surcharge), allows a stay of up to 90 days, and is valid for entry for 90 days from approval. Applications are normally processed within 2-3 working days. A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry and must be uploaded with the application. Travelers who plan to also visit Kenya and Rwanda on the same trip can instead choose the East Africa Tourist Visa (USD 100, multiple entry across the three countries, 90 days) - but for Uganda alone the standard single-entry tourist eVisa is the right choice. Beware of fraudulent third-party sites charging USD 110-200; only the official .go.ug portal should be used.
