Thailand to Türkiye visa requirements
Thai ordinary passport holders can visit Türkiye visa-free for tourism: up to 30 days per visit, capped at 90 days within any 180-day period from first entry. No visa, e-Visa, or visa-on-arrival is required for this short tourist stay. Holders of an ordinary Thailand passport do not need a visa for short tourist trips to Türkiye. Türkiye's Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists Thai ordinary passport holders as exempt from visa for travels up to 30 days, and the Turkish Embassy in Bangkok states the tourist exemption is 30 days on each visit with a cumulative limit of 90 days within 180 days from the date of first entry. Türkiye is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply here; Türkiye operates its own immigration regime. For the covered short tourist stay, Thai ordinary passport holders do not need an e-Visa or visa-on-arrival. Stays beyond 30 days, or travel for work, study, residence, or other non-tourism purposes, require the appropriate visa route through Türkiye's online visa application system and Turkish mission. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least 60 days beyond the intended period of stay under Türkiye's Law on Foreigners and International Protection, and should carry proof of onward travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds. This route was re-checked on 2026-06-29 against official Turkish MFA and Embassy in Bangkok sources.
