Thailand to Chad visa requirements

Thailand ordinary passport holders need an eVisa to visit Chad. Apply online before travel through Chad's official eVisa portal (e-visa.td); Thailand is not on Chad's visa-exempt list. As of 2026, holders of an ordinary Thailand passport require a visa to enter Chad for tourism. Chad launched a mandatory electronic visa (eVisa) system on 11 December 2024, and from 11 May 2026 all new visa applications must be filed through the official digital platform (e-visa.td). Thailand is not among the roughly 40 nationalities that enjoy visa-exempt entry, so Thai travelers must obtain an eVisa in advance. The standard tourist eVisa is single-entry, valid for 30 days with a maximum stay of 30 days, costs about USD 107, and is processed within roughly 10 business days. Applicants upload a passport bio-page, a passport photo, proof of accommodation, and onward/return travel before paying online. Only the official portal should be used; many third-party sites charge inflated service fees. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry to Chad. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay.
