Thailand to eSwatini visa requirements

Thai passport holders need a visa for eSwatini. Thailand is not on the visa-exempt list, so apply in advance via the official eVisa portal (launched August 2025). A Thailand ordinary passport holder is NOT visa-exempt for the Kingdom of eSwatini (formerly Swaziland). eSwatini grants 30-day visa-free entry to roughly 90 countries (most EU states, USA, Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa) and 90 days to Taiwan, but Thailand does not appear on any exemption list. Thai travelers must therefore obtain a visa before travel. Since August 2025 eSwatini operates an official eVisa portal (evisa.gov.sz), which is now the most practical channel for nationalities like Thailand that lack a nearby eSwatini mission. A traditional paper visa can also be obtained from an eSwatini diplomatic mission abroad. Visa on arrival is not a reliable channel: official guidance states visas cannot currently be obtained at border posts and should be arranged in advance. The standard tourist visa is single entry, valid 3 months from issue, and permits a stay of up to 30 days (extendable by a further 30 days at the Ministry of Home Affairs). The government fee is low (around E80 / SZL 80 for single entry), though third-party portals add service charges. Travelers should also hold a passport valid 6+ months, proof of onward travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds.
