Thailand to Solomon Islands visa requirements

Thailand ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa in advance for the Solomon Islands. Thailand is on the list of countries whose citizens receive a free visitor permit on arrival, valid for tourism stays of up to 3 months within any 1-year period. As of mid-2026, a Thai (TH) ordinary passport holder may travel to the Solomon Islands (SB) for tourism without obtaining a visa beforehand. The Solomon Islands operates a visitor-permit system: nationals of listed countries — which include Thailand, the United States, Commonwealth states, EU members, Japan and South Korea — are granted a free visitor permit on arrival, permitting a stay of up to 3 months within any 12-month period. No fee is charged for this on-arrival permit. (The SBD 800 visa fee published by the Immigration Division applies only to nationalities that must obtain a visa in advance, not to Thailand.) The traveler must arrive with a passport valid at least six months beyond the intended departure date, at least one blank page, a confirmed return or onward ticket, proof of sufficient funds, and ideally accommodation details. Immigration officers retain discretion to request supporting documents and to set the exact length of stay stamped. Conservatively, travelers should still carry full documentation, as the permit is granted at the officer's discretion rather than guaranteed.
