Thailand to Oman visa requirements

Thai ordinary passport holders can enter Oman visa-free for up to 14 days for tourism. No prior visa or visa-on-arrival is needed. For stays longer than 14 days, an Oman eVisa is required. As of mid-2026, Thailand is one of roughly 103 nationalities granted unilateral visa-free entry to Oman for short visits. A Thai citizen holding an ordinary passport may enter for tourism for up to 14 days without applying for any visa in advance and without a visa-on-arrival fee. The exemption is strictly limited to 14 non-renewable days. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of arrival and, at the immigration officer's discretion, may be asked to show a confirmed hotel booking, a return/onward air ticket, valid travel health insurance, and proof of sufficient funds. If a longer or multiple-entry stay is needed, Oman's official eVisa portal (evisa.rop.gov.om) offers a 10-day single-entry visa (5 OMR), a 30-day single-entry visa (20 OMR), and a one-year multiple-entry visa (50 OMR, 30 days per visit). Oman is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Because Oman periodically updates its visa-free list, travelers should reconfirm eligibility on the official portal shortly before departure.
