Thailand to Myanmar visa requirements

Thai ordinary passport holders can enter Myanmar visa-free for up to 14 days for tourism when arriving and departing through an international airport (Yangon, Mandalay or Naypyidaw), under the 2015 Thailand-Myanmar bilateral visa-exemption agreement. The official government tourist eVisa (evisa.moip.gov.mm) costs USD 50, permits a single entry with a 28-day stay, is valid for 90 days from issuance, and is typically processed within about 3 working days. Travelers should also note that several governments maintain elevated travel advisories for Myanmar due to ongoing armed conflict and civil unrest; the visa exemption is purely an immigration matter and does not reflect on-the-ground safety.
