Thailand to Laos visa requirements

Thai ordinary passport holders can enter Laos visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism under a long-standing Thailand-Laos bilateral agreement. No visa, no fee, and no advance application is required for a short visit. Holders of an ordinary Thai passport enjoy visa-free entry to Laos for stays of up to 30 days for tourism, business, or visiting purposes. This is granted under a bilateral visa-exemption agreement between Thailand and Laos that has applied to ordinary passports since 2004, and is reinforced by ASEAN reciprocal arrangements (Thailand and Laos are both ASEAN members).
