Thailand to Georgia visa requirements

No visa required. Thailand ordinary passport holders can enter Georgia visa-free and stay up to 360 days (1 year) for tourism. Since 1 January 2026, all visitors — including visa-exempt travelers — must hold valid travel medical insurance covering the full stay (minimum 30,000 GEL coverage). Thailand is on Georgia's most generous visa-exemption list, allowing ordinary Thai passport holders to enter without any visa and remain for up to 360 days (one year) within any 365-day period for tourism, business, or short visits. No advance application, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is needed — travelers simply present a valid passport at the border. The only significant new condition is Georgia's mandatory travel health and accident insurance rule, which took effect 1 January 2026 and applies to every foreign visitor (including visa-free nationals). The policy must cover the entire stay with a minimum coverage limit of 30,000 GEL (about USD 11,000), be in Georgian or English, and may be presented in printed or electronic form. Passports should be valid for the duration of stay, and immigration officers may ask for proof of onward travel and sufficient funds. Georgia is NOT in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
