Thailand to Ecuador visa requirements

No visa needed. Thai ordinary passport holders can enter Ecuador visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within a rolling 12-month period. Thailand is not on Ecuador's visa-required list, so holders of an ordinary Thai passport may travel to Ecuador for tourism without obtaining a visa in advance. On arrival they receive a T-3 tourist stamp permitting a stay of up to 90 days, counted within a rolling 12-month period that starts from the first date of entry. There is no fee for the standard 90-day tourist admission. Ecuador is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Note that on 1 September 2025 Ecuador imposed an advance visa requirement on nationals of about 45 countries (including China, India, the Philippines, Vietnam and others) for security and migration reasons, but Thailand is NOT among them, so Thai citizens remain visa-exempt. Travelers should carry a passport valid for at least 6 months, proof of onward/return travel, accommodation details and evidence of sufficient funds, which border officers may request. To stay beyond 90 days a separate visa or extension must be arranged. Requirements can change, so confirm with the Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the nearest Ecuadorian consulate close to your travel date.
