Thailand to Congo (Rep.) visa requirements

Thai ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter the Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville). There is no visa-free entry, no visa on arrival, and no confirmed operational eVisa for Thai nationals; apply in advance at the Congolese consulate in Bangkok. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory. The Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville, ISO code CG) requires Thailand ordinary passport holders to obtain a visa before travel. Under the country's visa policy, only citizens of five neighbouring Central African states (Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon) enjoy 90-day visa-free access, and visa-on-arrival is limited to a short list of mainly African and a few other states that does not include Thailand. Being conservative where a no-visa channel cannot be confirmed, the correct verdict is visa-required. Thai travellers should apply in advance, typically through the Consulate of the Republic of the Congo in Bangkok, presenting a passport valid at least six months with blank pages, photos, a hotel booking or invitation letter, a return air ticket, proof of funds, and a valid International Certificate of Vaccination against yellow fever (mandatory for entry, and also required by Thailand on return because Congo is a yellow-fever endemic area). Processing is generally a few business days for a single-entry tourist visa, with multiple-entry options available at higher cost. Travellers should confirm current fees and document requirements directly with the consulate before applying, as African visa fees and procedures change frequently and are often quoted in US dollars.
