You can apply for an eVisa in advance through the official Ministry of Foreign Affairs system (evisa.mfa.am) and receive an electronic visa typically within about 3 working days, or simply pay for a visa on arrival at Zvartnots International Airport (Yerevan) and other recognized border crossings. Two tourist categories exist: a 21-day single-entry visa (about 3,000 AMD / ~USD 8 / EUR 7) and a 120-day single-entry visa (about 15,000 AMD / ~USD 38 / EUR 34). Both are intended for tourism and short visits. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, and you should carry proof of onward/return travel and sufficient funds. Armenia is NOT in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to entry into Armenia. The eVisa is recommended over visa on arrival because it removes any risk of queues or payment issues at the border and gives confirmed approval before you fly.
