Singapore to Montenegro visa requirements

Singapore ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for Montenegro. You may enter and stay visa-free for up to 90 days within a 180-day period for tourism or short visits. Montenegro is not part of the Schengen Area, so the EU Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply here — Montenegro keeps its own separate 90-day count. As of 2026-06-01, a Singapore ordinary passport holder can travel to Montenegro for tourism without a visa for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This is confirmed by Montenegro's visa policy (which grants visa-free access to all Schengen Annex II nationals plus additional countries including Singapore) and by Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which states "Singaporeans can visit Montenegro for up to 90 days without a visa, provided no employment is pursued." No prior application, eVisa, ETA, or visa-on-arrival is required for short tourist stays. Montenegro is NOT a Schengen member and is NOT inside the EU, so ETIAS (the EU travel authorisation) does not apply to entry into Montenegro, and time spent in Montenegro does not count against the Schengen 90/180 allowance — Montenegro operates its own independent 90-day count. Travelers should hold a passport valid for the duration of stay (six months' validity beyond intended stay is the safe practice), proof of onward/return travel, proof of sufficient funds, and accommodation details. Foreign visitors must also register with the local police or have their accommodation provider register them within 24 hours of arrival. Note: Montenegro is progressively aligning its visa regime with EU rules and suspended visa-free access for a few nationalities (Armenia, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Kuwait) in late 2025; Singapore is not affected.
