Saudi Arabia to Türkiye visa requirements

Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Turkey. They may enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Since 23 December 2023, Türkiye unilaterally lifted the visa requirement for ordinary (and official) Saudi Arabian passport holders. Saudi citizens travelling for tourism, business or short visits can enter Turkey visa-free and stay up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period. No e-visa or visa-on-arrival is required for short tourist stays — the older Turkey e-Visa requirement for Saudi nationals was superseded by this exemption, so the many commercial sites still advertising a paid e-visa are out of date. Turkey is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do NOT apply; Turkey operates its own independent 90/180 counter. A separate visa-exemption agreement for diplomatic and special passports was signed in May 2026, but ordinary passport holders were already exempt. Travellers should carry a passport valid at least 60 days beyond the intended stay (Turkey's minimum), though 6 months' validity is widely recommended, plus proof of onward travel, accommodation and sufficient funds. Stays beyond 90 days, or for work/study, require an appropriate visa or residence permit obtained in advance.
