🇸🇦Saudi Arabia🇹🇯TajikistanSA-TJ Saudi Arabia to Tajikistan visa requirements
Saudi Arabian ordinary passport holders can enter Tajikistan visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism. No visa or e-visa is required for short visits. Tajikistan introduced a unilateral visa-free regime for citizens of 52 countries — including Saudi Arabia — under a Government Decree dated 26 October 2021, effective 1 January 2022. Saudi ordinary passport holders may enter, stay and exit Tajikistan without any prior visa for a maximum of 30 days per stay, as confirmed directly by the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. No application, fee, or e-visa is needed for an ordinary tourist visit within this 30-day window. Travelers should carry a passport valid for at least six months with at least one blank page and may be asked at the border for onward/return tickets and proof of sufficient funds or accommodation. Tajikistan is NOT in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. One important caveat: visiting the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO) / Pamir Highway region still requires a separate GBAO permit (about USD 20), which visa-free travelers must obtain in-country (Dushanbe/Khujand OVIR) or through a tour operator, since the online e-visa GBAO add-on is only available to those who actually apply for an e-visa. For stays longer than 30 days, the standard Tajikistan e-visa (USD 30 single-entry) remains available via the official portal evisa.tj.
