Saudi Arabia to Oman visa requirements

No visa needed. As a citizen of Saudi Arabia (a GCC member state), an ordinary passport holder can enter Oman visa-free for tourism. You may travel using either your Saudi passport or your national ID card. Saudi Arabia and Oman are both members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Under standing GCC arrangements, citizens of GCC states (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Oman) do not require any visa to enter Oman. This is confirmed directly by the Oman Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which lists GCC citizens as exempt from visa requirements. Saudi nationals enjoy full freedom of movement: there is no visa application, no fee, and no advance permit. A distinctive feature for GCC citizens (unlike most other travelers) is that a passport is not strictly mandatory — a valid government-issued national ID card is accepted for entry at Omani border points. If traveling on a passport, the document should be valid for the duration of the stay (six months' validity is recommended as best practice). GCC citizens are not subject to the 14-day or 30-day caps that apply to ordinary visa-free or eVisa visitors; they may reside, work, study and own property across the GCC under unity provisions. Note: the distinction matters — this verdict applies to GCC CITIZENS (Saudi passport/ID holders). Foreign nationals who merely RESIDE in Saudi Arabia follow a separate GCC-resident eVisa/visa-on-arrival track. The planned unified GCC tourist (Schengen-style) visa is aimed at non-GCC travelers and does not change the visa-free status that Saudi citizens already hold.
