🇸🇦Saudi Arabia🇲🇰North MacedoniaSA-MK Saudi Arabia to North Macedonia visa requirements
Yes, a visa is required. Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders must obtain a North Macedonia short-stay (Type C) visa in advance from a North Macedonian diplomatic mission before traveling for tourism. North Macedonia is NOT in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. North Macedonia requires Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders to obtain a short-stay (Type C) visa before arrival for tourism; there is no visa-on-arrival or eVisa channel for Saudi nationals. The visa is a sticker visa applied for at an accredited North Macedonian diplomatic-consular mission (the nearest serving the Gulf region are in Doha and Abu Dhabi, as there is no consistently staffed mission in Saudi Arabia). The consular fee for a Type C visa is EUR 60. Standard processing is around 7-15 working days, and applications must be lodged at least 15 days (and no more than 6 months) before the intended trip. North Macedonia is an EU candidate but is NOT a member of the EU or the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180-day rule and ETIAS do not apply here; the country operates its own visa regime. Importantly, two shortcut channels exist that can spare a Saudi traveler from applying for a Macedonian visa: holders of a valid multiple-entry Schengen Type C visa (valid at least 5 days beyond the stay) may enter visa-free for up to 15 days, and under a temporary decision valid 1 January to 31 December 2026, holders of a valid US, UK, or Canada visa may also enter visa-free for up to 15 days. Note that while North Macedonia granted full visa-free access to UAE nationals from May 2025, no equivalent waiver has been extended to Saudi Arabia, so Saudi passport holders without one of the qualifying foreign visas must obtain the Macedonian visa.
